Job summary

JW Speaker is seeking an Electronics Technician to support daily SMT line setup, teardown, and PCB handling at our Germantown, WI facility. You will operate feeders and SMT equipment, perform manual component placement and inspections, and maintain tracking for each PCB assembly.

The role emphasizes board-level troubleshooting, adherence to IPC standards, and participation in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read and understand basic Process Sheet and Assembly drawings.
Prior electronics experience preferred (PCB repair/rework a plus).
Universal Instruments experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and tear down feeders.
Operate SMT lines and equipment: screen printer, adhesive machine, pick-and-place, reflow oven.
Manual component placement and visual inspection of through-hole/SMD.
Track PCB assemblies and report discrepancies to Group Lead or Electronics Technician A.
Maintain accurate Job-By-Job chart tracking.
Perform basic equipment maintenance as required.
Depaneling, testing, EOL programming, and packaging per standards.
Troubleshoot and rework PCBs.
Operate AOI machine.
Troubleshoot SMT line equipment.
Follow IPC standards (certification a plus).
Perform basic Electronics Technician A level tasks.
