Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. The role covers installation, testing, and maintenance of electronic security systems for federal, local, and commercial clients, with emphasis on safety and high-quality workmanship.

Position requires on-site work at customer sites across Texas and may involve travel. Expect collaboration with project teams, mentoring of junior staff, and adherence to NEC standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs.
• Requires a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
• Configure hardware and software; conduct site surveys; test systems for correct operation; provide technical support to customers.
• Install system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels and grounding; terminate, test, and configure devices and IT equipment.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with project teams; ensure safety and adherence to NEC standards.
