Job summary

Insight Global in the United States is seeking an engineering hardware technician responsible for fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing, and basic laboratory operations. Responsibilities include fabricating electronic/electrical chassis and mechanical rack assemblies from development drawings, performing cable harness work, and testing with lab equipment.

Lifting up to 25lbs and some ladder work may be required.

Qualifications

• Evaluations and testing of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to work from schematics and engineering drawings.
• Capable of coordinating with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.
• Produce and assemble electronic and mechanical components such as cables and harnesses.
• Integrate and cable rack assemblies per development drawings.
• Build and test Cat5e/Cat6 cables in racks.
• Inspect products in-process to meet quality specs.
