Job summary

Sunshine Avionics LLC in Miramar, FL, part of the HEICOAvionics family, seeks an electronics assistant to support technicians in developing and maintaining electronic systems. You will follow maintenance manuals, document work, and help in test fixture development, with emphasis on quality and timely repairs.

Requirements include an associates degree in electronics and 1–3 years of related experience, fluent English, and solid MS Office skills. Overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent from a two year college or technical school.
• 1-3 years’ experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluent and able to read and write English; excellent communication skills.
• Moderate computer knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform the work requested on the work order form in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance manual.
• Notify the Operations Manager of any out of the ordinary damage noted during any phase of the maintenance process.
• Develops and assists in the development of test fixtures and test procedures for new electronic assemblies.
• Order correct parts as noted in the illustrated parts listing of the appropriate manual.
• Document all maintenance forms per manual procedures and forms catalogs.
• Test and troubleshoot warranty and non-warranty repairs and assist in fault analysis and reporting.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Verify calibration status on all precision tools and test equipment; report issues to manager.
• Document time spent on individual jobs on route sheets and time cards.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies regarding personnel and quality issues.
