We are seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. In this role, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical tasks within field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
- Ensure the functionality and reliability of various technologies.
- Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support.
- Comprehend and enforce safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and company policies.
- Participate in quality reviews of design documentation, analyzing drawings for constructability.
- Track project metrics and participate in resource planning meetings.
- Verify charges in timesheets and complete detailed documentation of activities.
- Manage tools, conduct inspections, and organize material procurement.
- Participate in safety meetings, ensure safety compliance, and report incidents.
- Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels following industry standards.
- Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices and network equipment.
- Manage switch configurations, configure servers and workstations, and troubleshoot components.
- Conduct quality control inspections and document findings.
- Install and maintain field devices, troubleshoot copper and fiber optic issues, and lead commissioning efforts.
- Communicate regularly with project teams, trades, and clients, demonstrating collaboration and dedication.
- Lead by example, mentor team members, and promote strategic thinking and innovation.
- Maintain strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills aligned with company values.
- Provide project planning insights, including manpower, material, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance required; candidates will undergo a government security investigation.
Education:
- HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours), or
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician or Electrical Apprenticeship program, or
- Additional three years of electronics installation/maintenance experience.
Experience:
- 6+ years in electronics installation and maintenance across multiple systems and client programs.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Bosch).
- Three years of experience in electronic security systems.
- OSHA 30 certification.

Abilities
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly, following safety protocols.
- Ability to relocate a 12-foot ladder independently.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing scaffolds and ladders.
- Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching overhead routinely.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color perception, hearing, and communication skills.
