Job description

Jabil is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician in Auburn Hills, MI to work 2nd shift.

How will you make an impact?

The Electronics Technician will be self-directed and responsible for developing and maintaining test procedures, test hardware, and software for electronic circuit production.

What will you do?

• Supports the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions, executing fixture and program qualification according to the system qualification process.
• Provides deliverables to support production, collaborating with the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assists in building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling to meet customer expectations.
• Provides comprehensive documentation and training for test solutions to the Test Support and Manufacturing functions.
• Monitors and contributes to improving Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies, and Uptime, providing accurate reports and clear improvement targets.
• Strives to upgrade the test process, balancing cost and coverage for optimal and cost-efficient testing.
• Coordinates with manufacturing and test support to prioritize activities and manage test readiness based on the weekly production schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting PCBs down to component level required.
• Soldering surface mount components experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Basic electronics knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with computers required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
