We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
- Execute various technical tasks within field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
- Ensure the functionality and reliability of various technologies.
- Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and effective communication with clients and team members.
- Utilize and understand project safety plans and enforce adherence to company policies.
- Analyze and interpret project drawings for constructability, accuracy, and completeness.
- Verify charges in timesheets and execute installation activities within planned durations.
- Track and inventory tools, perform inspections, and conduct daily tool inventories.
- Participate in daily ORM meetings, ensuring safety compliance.
- Assist in PITCO plan creation, testing, and build-out to ensure high quality.
- Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware, ensuring proper grounding and NEC standards compliance.
- Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network, and IT equipment.
- Rack and stack head-end equipment, terminate cables, and perform accessories installation per industry standards.
- Maintain consistent communication with project teams, demonstrating dedication, punctuality, and preparedness.
- Collaborate effectively, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Plan and prioritize tasks, embodying the company's vision, mission, and values.
- Survey and document existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is REQUIRED.
Education:
- HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours)
Required Experience:
- 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems, and related technologies
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician or Electrical Apprenticeship program
- 3+ years focused on electronic security systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds regularly, following safety protocols
