We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit. In this role, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electronic security systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory management.
  • Lead small to moderately complex installation projects.
  • Conduct and document daily toolbox talks.
  • Install head-end equipment at local and global levels according to design packages.
  • Program head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate system and hardware issues locally and globally.
  • Provide on-site software commissioning and testing.
Qualifications
  • No security clearance required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Education: HS diploma or GED, military electronics training (minimum 720 hours), graduation from an electronics technician program, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years electronics installation/maintenance).
  • Experience: At least 4 years in electronics installation/maintenance, with 3+ years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems.
  • Experience with Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch systems, CCURE, Genetec, Zenitel, Windows OS, and related installation experience.
  • CCURE system experience.
Physical and Abilities Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing ladders and scaffolds.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.
  • Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, and hearing.
  • Ability to recognize problems and apply general rules to specific issues.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see close-range details and listen effectively.
