Job summary

GE Aerospace in Clearwater, FL is seeking a technically skilled professional to provide support for production and aftermarket repair services, including setting up test equipment and troubleshooting complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-year technical degree/certificate or equivalent military education/training.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years in related jobs.
  • Prior experience using DMM and Oscilloscope.
  • Able to read and understand technical information with strong communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, handling hazardous materials, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for production or aftermarket repair services on electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate test equipment and follow procedures for testing and validation.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment using schematics and system knowledge.

The individual is authorized to execute all assigned tasks and handle additional responsibilities as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for production or aftermarket repair services, focusing on electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate test equipment to test complex equipment using established procedures, schematics, and relevant documentation, which may include vibration and thermal cycle testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment by utilizing schematics and in-depth knowledge of the assigned technology, systems, and components.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain measuring and indicating instruments to ensure they meet set standards.
  • Perform repair and overhaul services for assigned technology.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned, with the authority to execute all assigned tasks.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Possess a 2-year technical degree/certificate in a related discipline, equivalent military education/training, or at least 2 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years of related job experience.
  • Prior experience using DMM (Digital Multimeter) and Oscilloscope
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical information and instructions, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting/moving materials up to 35 pounds, working with hazardous materials, and working overtime as required.
Desired Skills / Experience:
  • Proficient in using a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.
  • At least 3 years of related job experience.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
  • This role requires access to U-S export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U-S Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
