Position Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit. You will be part of a team designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, AV, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment and systems.
  2. Conduct site surveys, configure hardware/software, test systems, and provide technical support.
  3. Ensure safety compliance by adhering to project safety plans and company policies.
  4. Analyze and interpret project drawings for accuracy and constructability.
  5. Manage tools, conduct inspections, and maintain safety standards.
  6. Participate in safety and project meetings, and execute build-out plans.
  7. Install raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, ensuring proper grounding and NEC standards.
  8. Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices and network equipment.
  9. Document work using Infralink and other tools.
  10. Collaborate with project teams, communicate effectively, and provide mentorship to junior staff.
Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Requirement: Must be eligible for an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Education: HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours).

Experience: 2+ years in electronics installation/maintenance; Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Skills: Strong communication skills; preferred vendor certifications; proficiency in Microsoft Office; time management and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems, and experience with systems like Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, BVMS, and AIphone.
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • Additional 3 years of relevant experience.
