Job summary

A staffing agency is looking for a skilled electronics technician for a long-term contract in Tempe, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have an associates degree in electronics and 1-3 years of experience in calibration and programming of electronic equipment. Responsibilities include performing modifications to boards, testing circuits, soldering components, and assembling electronic systems. Candidates must pass a background and credit check.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience in a related field.
• Experience adjusting electronic instrumentation in a calibration environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and programming on microprocessor controlled electronic equipment.
• Program flow computers using front panel keyboard entry.
• Make modifications to existing boards from engineering drawings.
• Test and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits.
• Install and solder components on circuit boards.
• Assemble electronic enclosures and test systems.
• Mix and use potting compounds as required.
• Perform assembly and testing of Electronic/Mechanical Flow Meters.

• Perform calibration and programming on microprocessor controlled electronic equipment using personal computers.
• Programming of flow computers using front panel keyboard entry of download software.
• Make modifications to existing boards from engineering drawings or diagrams under the

• Installation and soldering of components on circuit boards.
• Assembly of electronic enclosures and system test of electronics with flow meters.
• Mix and use potting compounds as required by drawings and procedures.
• Perform assembly & Test of Electronic/Mechanical Flow Meters

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 -3 years experience in a related field.
• Experience with the adjustment of electronic instrumentation within a calibration environment to meet performance specs.
