Job description

Electronic Technician – Providence Portland Service Area

Full‑time day position supporting the Portland Service Area.

As part of the facilities department, an Instrumentation Technician performs installations, scheduled maintenance, repairs, calibration, and safety inspections of electronic, mechanical, information, and communication equipment and systems. Work assigned ranges from moderate to advanced in difficulty, may require specialized and/or advanced training. The Technician works under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager and coordinates work with other caregivers within the department. The Technician prioritizes duties to ensure a minimum of operational downtime and maximize the efficient use of equipment. Some work may be performed by contractors under the supervision of the electronics technician.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5 years of installation and maintenance of electronic equipment experience.
  • Driving may be necessary. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving, provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
