Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to perform scheduled maintenance, minor repairs, and electrical safety inspections on general patient care medical equipment. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Clinical Engineering, you will participate in a rotating on-call schedule; driving may be required.

An Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology or Electronics Technology is required, or

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology or Electronics Technology or Military/Technical School Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled maintenance on general patient care medical equipment.
• Perform minor repairs and electrical safety inspections.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Job description

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Clinical Engineering, the Biomedical Equipment Technician I is responsible to provide scheduled maintenance, minor repairs and electrical safety inspections on general patient care medical equipment. This role will participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degreein Biomedical Technology or Electronics Technology -OR- Military or Technical School Certificate


• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 yearof experience with patient care electronic medical devices at a circuit level
