Actalent has an Electronics Technician position in Olathe, KS. The role focuses on testing, diagnosing, repairing, and validating electronic assemblies using diverse test equipment in a fully onsite environment.

The candidate will read schematics, document results, and work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive quality improvements. Contract-to-hire with a competitive hourly rate.

Formación

• Associate degree or technical certification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic or electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing on electronic components, circuit boards, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished products.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose product failures using test equipment and documentation.
• Perform repairs and rework and verify corrective actions by retesting.
• Execute production acceptance tests and final quality verification procedures.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Document test results, failures, corrective actions, and quality observations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area per procedures and standards.
• Support process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Electronics Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing on electronic components, circuit boards, subassemblies, assemblies, and finished products.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose product failures using a variety of test equipment and technical documentation.

• Perform repairs and rework as needed and verify corrective actions through retesting.

• Execute production acceptance tests and final quality verification procedures.

• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials.

• Document test results, failures, corrective actions, and quality observations.

• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following established procedures and quality standards.

• Assist with process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, military electronics training, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

• Experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic or electromechanical equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

• Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and related tools.

• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering test environment.

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals.

• Experience supporting quality inspections, failure analysis, or root cause investigations.

• Familiarity with standard test procedures and documentation requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
