The University of Minnesota is seeking a skilled technician for lab equipment repair and maintenance. This role focuses on the calibration of various devices such as pipettes and centrifuges, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma combined with relevant trade training and can expect competitive pay as well as extensive benefits including health care plans and opportunities for professional growth.
The technician will assume the lead responsibility for repair, maintenance and calibration of laboratory and research equipment.
Required Qualifications: High school graduation and two years of recent trade school or military training in electronics, or equivalent combinations of experience and education. Some positions may require state licensure under MN Statute 326B.33 Subd. 7 (Power Limited Technician).
Preferred Qualifications: Proficient experience serving one to two of the following equipment: pipettes, centrifuges, CO₂ incubators, shaking incubators, PCR machines, balances.
Pay Range: $50,544 to $56,950.40; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
Time Appointment: 75%-100% appointment.
Position Type: Civil‑Service & Non‑Faculty Labor Represented Staff.
