Job summary

VescentTechnologies is seeking a full-time Electronics Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot circuit boards, subassemblies, and finished products for quantum computing hardware and advanced laboratory systems.

The role requires hands-on skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. It is an on-site position reporting to the Production Manager, with opportunities for skill development and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 2+ years electronics experience or relevant certificate.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
  • Experience soldering and replacing through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Commitment to workplace safety practices.
  • Strong communication and priority management skills.
  • Organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
  • Experience with fine-pitch SMD rework.
  • IPC Soldering Certification.
  • Working knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, optics, and control theory.
  • Familiarity with safe operation of light fabrication equipment (dremel, belt sander, laser cutter).

Responsibilities

  • Populate circuit boards, solder components, and assemble electronic products per written instructions.
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of assembled electronic modules.
  • Document yields and performance test results.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Prototyping, and QC staff to refine processes and work instructions.
  • Work autonomously in an ESD sensitive environment.

Position Summary
