Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electronics Technician to support the Strategic Microelectronics program. You will perform hands-on electronics work, assist in fixture design, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve processes.

Applicants should have vocational electronics training, 0-1 year of component experience, and be able to obtain a US government Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience working with electronics components.
  • Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics.
  • Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics.
  • Prior experience with Ionizing radiation safety and handling per DOD guidelines.
  • Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety.
  • Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team and engage with technicians, scientists, and engineers.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2- or 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology

  • 2-3 years of experience working with electronics components

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment

  • Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials

Compensation Details:

$65,000-$95,000

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
