Job summary

Boarhog seeks an Electronics Technician (ET) - Maintenance for Denver CO or Salt Lake City UT to support FAA / DoD contracts across CO, UT, and WY. You will perform testing and maintenance on Automatic Tank Gauging, Independent Alarm, Overfill and Ground Verification systems, operate in varied environments and coordinate with dispatchers and project leads.

The role requires a strong electronics background, 4 years of hands-on experience, and willingness to travel extensively while maintaining

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Formal electronics training from a technical school or military electronics program.
  • 4 years of practical electronics repair and checkout experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and test electronics and electrical systems on fuels equipment.
  • Maintain records of work performed and coordinate travel to sites.
  • Operate safely in confined spaces and at heights up to 50 feet.

Job description

Boarhog has an immediate need for an Electronics Technician (ET) - Maintenance, either Level II or Level III, ideally based out of either Denver CO or Salt Lake City UT to cover federally contracted requirements in the Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming areas.Specifically, this is a highly sought after position as an IAS/ATG/OPS/GVS ET who will be counted upon to work alone or in small teams, performing testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of War installations across the aforementioned states.This ET will be responsible for the proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment by performing troubleshooting, fault isolation, repairing and installing electronic components and electrical systems, and maintaining organized, detailed records of work performed.The Level II or Level III ET will be responsible for coordinating travel to work sites, maintaining on-hand components and assigned safety equipment, and acceptable communication with dispatchers, the installation teams, and Boarhog's Director of Modernization to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly conveyed to the client.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentFormal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school, or completion of four-year electronics apprenticeship programFour (4) years of practical experience to include but not limited to: electronics repair, integration, fielding, and checkoutAbility to acquire the required certifications to maintain the equipment located within specified region at the time of hire or relocation, to include all manufacturer trainings and state-required UST certificationsCertifications and/or demonstrated proficiency with applicable equipment manufactures and UST licenses must be established within five (5) months of hireAbility to kneel, lift up to fifty (50) pounds, work from heights of up to fifty (50) feet, and operate safely within confined spacesProven proficiency with Windows OS and M365 applicationsAbility to forecast workload and manage level of effort within scheduled work weekAdditional RequirementsAcquire and maintain U.S. government security clearanceObtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days of hireManage a corporate credit cardMaintain a valid driver's licenseAble and willing to travel extensively and frequently within the aforementioned geographic areaPreferred but Not Mandatory Education, Experience, & SkillsFour (4) years experience performing installation, removal, maintenance, and testing on Fuel Handling components- gauges, instrumentation, and sensorsExperience with Government fuel accounting systems (AFHE, FMD, FAS, BSM-E, ATG)Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems including one or more of the following: Veeder-Root, Ronan, Enraf, Barton, Pneumercator, Temposonics/MTS, ProGauge, and E&HExperience with Independent Alarm Systems including one or more of the following: Scully, Magnetrol, E&H, Fafnir, Mercoid, Omnitrol, Pneumecator, TLC, Bindicator, Devar, Aggressive Systems, and Programmable Logic ControllersExperience with Overfill Protection or Ground Verification Systems including one or more of the following: Scully, Varec, Fafnir, and Programmable Logic ControllersExperience with data communications via copper wires, fiber optics, & wireless devicesBOARHOG CULTURE, COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:Boarhog has over 14 years of focused and dedicated Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) steady, controlled growth and profitability, offering our full-time associates extensive compensation benefits:This position is covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) wage law.
