Job summary

Astra CoreX, Inc. (ACX) seeks an Electronics/Software Test Engineer to own the assembly, instrumentation, and testing of propulsion hardware for our launch vehicles.

You will assemble, instrument, and test components and subsystems with guidance from subject matter experts, applying Python and LabVIEW and performing test data analysis. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of rocket launch vehicle testing experience.
• Strong Python and LabVIEW programming and data analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; US citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

About the Role

Astra CoreX, Inc. (ACX) is seeking an Electronics/Software Test Engineer to own the assembly, instrumentation, and testing of propulsion hardware for our launch vehicles. You’ll be responsible for assembling, instrumenting, and testing components, subsystems, and complete vehicles using your technical background and available references, under the guidance of subject matter experts in several key areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate instrumentation: pressure, temperature, and strain.
• Perform DAQ setup, calibration, and test execution.
• Write test plans, safety reviews, and reports.
• Support build of propulsion hardware and test articles.
• Support design of fixtures, mounts, stands, and launchers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field.
• 3-10 years of experience testing rocket-powered launch vehicles.
• Strong proficiency with Python and LabView.
• Experience developing test software and conducting test data analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizen with eligibility for government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience testing rocket-powered launch vehicles.
• Some experience with solid rocket motors and amateur rocketry.
• Strong background with DAQ systems (NI, Kulite, HBM, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Active U.S. government security clearance.

Salary Range

• $125k-$170k
