Job summary

The Panther Group in Flower Mound, TX is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment at the component level for our client in the Flower Mound, TX area. You will diagnose PCBs and small devices, performing soldering and documentation of repairs in our systems.

In this 1st shift role, you will use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test gear to repair boards, read schematics, and ensure quality.

Electronics Repair Technician – 1st ShiftWe are hiring an Electronics Repair Technician to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment at the component level for our client in the Flower Mound, TX, area. This position focuses on diagnosing and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and small electronic devices, including two-way radios.The ideal candidate has a technical background in electronics, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with soldering, electronic test equipment, and component-level repair.Schedule1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMMonday – FridayTraining: One week of classroom and hands-on trainingTraining includes virtual learning modules, ESD safety, quality procedures, and hands-on technical instruction.Key ResponsibilitiesTest, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic components and equipment.Troubleshoot electronic systems down to the component level.Test and repair PCBs and electronic assemblies.Use soldering equipment to repair, modify, replace, and change components on circuit boards and electronic units.Disassemble and reassemble small electronic devices, including two-way radios.Perform both surface-mount and through-hole soldering and de-soldering.Read and interpret schematic diagrams and electronic documentation.Utilize electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and voltmeters.Analyze problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.Maintain efficiency and accuracy when completing repair orders and projects.Follow established quality standards and procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow ESD and warehouse safety requirements.Accurately document completed repairs and enter required information into computer systems.Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsTechnical education, training, or experience in electronics or a related field.Understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic electronic theory.Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment at the component level.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to use basic electronic test equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with small electronic components.Basic computer proficiency and accurate data-entry skills.Ability to navigate standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office.Ability to learn and use electronic repair/data-tracking systems.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Ability to successfully complete a technical aptitude test, if required.Preferred Qualifications1–2 years of experience with through-hole and surface-mount soldering.Experience performing component-level soldering and PCB repair.Experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PCBs.Experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, and other electronic test equipment.Experience working with small electronic devices or two-way radios.Experience working in an ESD-controlled environment.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork involves small electronic equipment and components; no heavy lifting is required.Must have good manual hand dexterity for detailed electronic repair work.Must be comfortable working with ESD-sensitive components and following ESD procedures.Must be able to maintain focus and accuracy during repetitive, detailed repair tasks.Position requires the ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with team members.Language RequirementEnglish proficiency is required. All classroom, virtual, and hands-on training will be conducted in English.
