Job summary

Digital Control Incorporated (DCI) seeks a detail-oriented Quality Electronics Technician to support quality initiatives across electronics manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes component-level repair, LEAN/Six Sigma methods, ISO 9001 QMS, and strong problem-solving communication.

The technician will investigate nonconforming materials, read schematics, document data, and collaborate across production, engineering, and supply chain to drive timely resolutions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in a technical quality role within electronics or PCB manufacturing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiarity with LEAN principles and Six Sigma tools (Green Belt certification preferred).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and quality auditing practices.

Responsibilities

• Investigate nonconforming materials, identify root causes, and repair those parts.
• Perform troubleshooting down to the component level.
• Read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams and document repair/test data.
• Drive timely resolution of electronics repairs and quality issues.
• Devise/build shop aids and work arounds to troubleshoot parts.
• Collaborate with production, design engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality concerns.
• Perform inspections and quality tests to ensure specifications.
• Support training and development of staff in quality standards.
