Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary in Salt Lake City, seeks an Electronics Quality Technician‑I to support StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing. This on-site role follows a Monday–Friday schedule in our Salt Lake City facility, contributing to inspection, rework, and test activities.

You will maintain ESD-safe labs, assist calibration, and help collect quality data to drive improvements. U.S. Person eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years in electronics manufacturing, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics.
• Proficient with soldering equipment (hand irons, bottom burners, hot air stations).
• Familiar with multimeters and basic hand tools.
• Able to read wiring diagrams or simple circuit drawings.
• U.S. Person due to U.S. federal contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Opportunity

The Electronics Quality Technician-I reports into our Manufacturing Leadership. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. This is a fully on‑site position, Monday through Friday. The location for this role will be at our Salt Lake City facility.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform visual and functional inspection of PCB assemblies under magnification per IPC‑J‑STD 001 standards.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with no prior experience required.
• Proficiency in the use of soldering equipment such as hand irons, bottom burners, and hot air stations.
• Familiar with the use of multi‑meters and basic hand tools.
• Comfortable reading wiring diagrams or simple circuit drawings.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• IPC‑J‑STD 001 certification or equivalent training.
• Basic understanding of RF and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with Linux or Windows‑based test systems.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and reliability in fast‑paced environments.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Office environment.
• Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
• Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
• Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
• Walking/Moving in the labs.

Compensation

$30 - $32 / hourly #silvuscareers Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
