Job Summary

A critical technical Electronics Quality Manufacturing Engineer on the Automation Quality team responsible for electronics drives and component quality, reliability, cost reduction, and warranty mitigation. This role supports new product development and qualification, providing quality direction and support to procurement for electronic supplier selection, qualification, and development. It also offers technical quality and manufacturing engineering guidance to the Princeton, Indiana Quality & Technician teams to meet customer demand and ensure production quality.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor H1B visas for this position.
  • Support production line technicians to meet product specifications, quality standards, and customer schedules.
  • Provide quality engineering guidance to electronics drive and component design and project engineers across multiple locations.
  • Qualify and develop electronic contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure robust quality processes.
  • Provide technical direction to Electronics Quality Supervisors, Technicians, and other Quality personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement activities aiming for zero defects, including electronics supplier dashboards and scorecards.
  • Lead the introduction of new models and changes via Electronic Supplier APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions and maintain electronic quality documentation.
  • Develop and improve product designs for manufacturability, enhance production processes, and create necessary documentation and test equipment.
  • Optimize production builds and review products for Design for Manufacturing considerations.
  • Transfer designs to ARAS and ECM systems, ensuring BOMs, drawings, and documentation are updated.
  • Identify alternative components for shortages and cost savings, maintaining the AVL.
  • Manage ECN processes and design changes for RoboteQ products.
  • Update drawings and mechanical parts as needed.
  • Develop and specify production and machinery requirements.
  • Design, install, and qualify equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Organize manufacturing workflows and integrate systems for efficient production.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age 18+
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years of electronics quality or manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with IPC or similar quality systems preferred
  • Ability to analyze data using SPC and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
  • Strong teamworking, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must maintain professionalism and courtesy with customers.
