Job summary

MSCCN is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our on-site team in San Diego. The role involves inspecting electronic components and assemblies, auditing processes, and ensuring adherence to contractual specs.

You will work with engineers and government personnel, perform data entry, and maintain documentation. Candidate should have at least 2 years of factory inspection experience, read blueprints, and handle basic inspection tools like calipers and rulers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years inspection experience in a factory environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to use basic inspection tools, such as rulers, calipers, scales, etc.
• Certifications in solder, ESD, crimp, torque, material handling, FOD and visual acuity as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, audit, witness test and/or evaluate electronic components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, subsystems, systems, and processes per contractual specs.
• Receiving, in-process and final inspection of product through manufacturing, testing and shipping cycles.
• Inputting, making additions and accessing data on computer-based programs and files.
• Write rejection reports, initiate rework orders, and verify planning and shipping documents.
• Maintain surveillance, including ESD certification, and assist with audits.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming material and maintain material review crib.
• Assist Quality Engineers and communicate with engineers, test technicians and government personnel.
• Apply statistical quality control to assigned product or process and analyze data for allowable limits.
