This position serves as an Electronics Mechanic position located at Fort Bragg, NC.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):

Ability to do the work of an Electronics Mechanic without more than normal supervision. I am skilled in installing and repairing complex electronic equipment and systems, such as tactical radios and satellite communication systems. I am experienced in using specialized electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and signal generators, to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and Repairing electronic components and sub-systems, such as amplifiers and power supplies, and providing technical guidance to other workers without more than normal supervision.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. Incumbent must frequently lift, carry, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 40 pounds; occasionally handles items up to 75 pounds. Assistance is usually available with heavy items. Must work in a sitting position for extended periods. Standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching and stooping is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is usually performed inside in well lighted, heated and ventilated areas. There is danger of burns or shock from high voltage and burns from soldering irons, radiation burns, cuts, bruises and burns from the use of hand tools and power driven machines. Subject to eye strain from working on miniaturized electronic components. Very good hand and eye coordination is required.
