Job summary

Brunswick is seeking an electronics manufacturing engineer to support downstream production assembly operations, including new product introductions, process improvements and documentation development. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, quality and suppliers to ensure timely launches and conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in engineering or related technical field required (Electrical/Electronics Engineering preferred).
  • 5+ years electrical/electronics manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing facility with firsthand responsibility for new product introduction of electronic assemblies.
  • Experience in creation of documentation required for new product launch including Work Instructions, Process Flow, PFMEA, control plans, etc.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and electronic schematic diagrams
  • Must understand manufacturing processes commonly used in the manufacture of electronic assemblies
  • Must have a personal knowledge of IPC standards and their application to electronics manufacturing
  • Must have excellent, fluent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $70,600 to $101,800 annually

Position Overview

As part of the Plant 7 team, you will provide technical process support in a cross-functional, collaborative, team environment for an electronics production operation which includes SMT and through-hole electronics assembly, conformal coating and encapsulation, final assembly and test. Focus will be on production assembly operations downstream of the SMT PCB population process. This includes new product introduction and current product support.

Work closely with manufacturing engineering, test engineering, production and quality department personnel to accomplish timely product launches, conformance to specifications and quality improvements.

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or related technical field required (Electrical/Electronics Engineering preferred)

  • Experience in creation of documentation required for new product launch including Work Instructions, Process Flow, PFMEA, control plans, etc.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and electronic schematic diagrams
  • Must understand manufacturing processes commonly used in the manufacture of electronic assemblies
  • Must have a personal knowledge of IPC standards and their application to electronics manufacturing
  • Must have excellent, fluent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Experience in L.S.S. and/or lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Experience working with potting and conformal coating
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or other related quality standard) compliant organization
  • LSS Green Belt certification
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Range: $70,600 to $101,800 annually (actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location)
  • In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
