Job summary

Molex is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to join our team in Conway, AR. Training will be provided on network analyzers, SI tools, and time-domain reflectometry to test cable assemblies and other products for signal integrity.

The role reports to project engineers and lab supervisors, performing tests independently, providing feedback, and supporting global engineering and product management teams across regions.

Qualifications

  • Certification or college coursework in Electronic Engineering Technology.
  • Experience using hand tools, electrical equipment, or similar lab work.
  • Intermediate scripting skills (Python, MATLAB) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform soldering or de-soldering on boards to assemble or remove components for testing.
  • Perform signal integrity measurements on high-speed products using network analyzers.
  • Perform time-domain reflectometry measurements and oscilloscope measurements.
  • Perform BER, SNR and Eye measurements on high-speed data signals.
  • Perform mechanical exposures to high-speed data cables.
  • Create reports from measurement data using Microsoft Office and in-house software.
  • Highlight failure areas in prototypes and suggest possible causes of malfunctions.
  • Organize lab and maintain an archive of reports in the online library.
  • Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures.

Job description

Molex is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to join our Team . Training on the us e of a network analy zer , signal integrity tools and time domain reflectometry will be provided . We are looking for someone that has an eagerness to learn. This is a development opportunity to learn skills needed to test cable assemblies and other products for Signal Integrity .

The Electronics Lab Technician will work under direction of project engineer s and lab supervisor who establish the general processes and priorities. Performs assigned duties independently. Applies critical thinking and analysis to solve practical problems. Supports global division – interacts with engineering and product management personnel from all regions. P erform functional tests and signal integrity evaluations. Provide feedback to engineering on functional and quality issues encountered and make suggestions for improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Perform soldering or de - soldering operation including in microscopic scale to assemble or remove resistors, capacitors , and wires on board, and connectors for electrical testing.
  • Perform Signal Integrity m easurements on high-speed products using network analyzers.
  • Perform time domain reflectometry measurements and oscilloscope measurements.
  • Perform BER, SNR and Eye measurements on high-speed data signals.
  • Perform mechanical exposures to high-speed data cables.
  • Create reports from measurement data using Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and in house software .
  • Highlight areas of failure in any prototype and provide possible reasons for malfunctions.
  • Organize lab and maintain archive of reports in on-line library.
  • Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Certification or college coursework in Electronic Engineering Technology or relatedfield of study.
  • Experience in using hand tools, electrical equipment, or doing similar job function with hands-on lab experience.
  • Intermediate level computer scripting skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB) are considered a plus
