Job summary

Contra Costa Community College District is seeking an Electronics Adjunct Instructor (Temporary) at Diablo Valley College. The role requires teaching electronics topics with both theory and hands-on lab work across multiple subjects, including PLCs, embedded systems, and PCB fabrication.

Open to candidates with strong teaching skills and industry experience in related engineering fields. Position is non-tenure track, with a four-month employment period starting Summer 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience and teaching skills in electronics or related engineering fields.
• Ability to teach theory and hands-on applications across multiple subject areas.
• Demonstrated strength in electrical and electronics topics with other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with curriculum and class schedules.
• Create a learning environment that encourages discussion and critical thinking.
• Evaluate student progress and assign grades.
• Meet with students outside of class as needed.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics.
• Keep current on subject matter and maintain records.
• Fulfill responsibilities of part-time/temporary faculty.
• Maintain accurate academic records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
