Job summary

San Mateo County Community College District seeks an adjunct Electronics instructor to teach courses in electronics production, testing and repair. You will develop curricula, assess outcomes, and create hands-on labs to support student success.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher with two years of professional experience (or an Associate degree with six years). Equity-minded teaching and strong communication are essential, with capability to work independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience. The professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment.
• Dissertation of equity-minded practice and cultural competence with diverse student backgrounds is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Teach Electronics coursework including fundamentals, mathematics, assembly and fabrication, soldering rework, and diagnostics.
• Assist in development and revision of curricula and assess student learning outcomes.
• Create a classroom and lab environment that promotes learning for every student.
• Consult with students during office hours and collaborate with program faculty to maximize effectiveness.
