Job summary

Silicon Mountain Contract Services (SMCS) seeks an Engineering Technician to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment used in electronic assembly. The role covers troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of SMT, thru-hole, conformal coat, process-related, and facility equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and verify electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/drawings.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Good written and oral interpersonal skills with minimal supervision.
• Safety-oriented in usage of hand and power tools with energy isolation awareness.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain SMT, Thru-Hole, Conformal Coat, and related equipment.
• Perform and track machine maintenance and calibration.
• Operate a scissor lift and powered pallet jack when required.
• Provide written and verbal passdowns and information in an organized manner.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks accurately and on time.
• Assist in installation of manufacturing equipment.
• Assist engineering in design experiments and process development.
• Maintain quality-conscious production support.
