Job Description
GDIT is looking for an Electronics Engineer for our Bethesda, MD location.
- Perform electrical system design to include printed circuit board design and simulation ( ex Altium, Eagle, LTSpice) and conduct diagnostic testing in support of troubleshooting efforts.
- Develop software and/or firmware to support hardware communication and testing (Matlab, Python, C, C++)
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and hardware rework on various electronic components and assemblies (Work and rework of cable assemblies, through hole and surface mount printed circuit boards).
- Generate, update and maintain comprehensive system documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Prepare and execute component test plans. Perform data acquisition, processing, and signal analysis to evaluate hardware performance.
- Conduct benchtop diagnostic testing, signal analysis, and root-cause analysis and troubleshooting on mixed-signal hardware using standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
- Controls and acoustics experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to support customer projects is desired.
Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET Accredited Institution.
- 6+ years of professional experience in electronics design, testing, or hardware maintenance.
- Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and signal processing/analysis.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
