Job summary

Kickmaker in Seattle, WA is seeking an Electronics Engineer to support hardware development on multiple projects from prototype to production. You will define requirements, architect products, and create CAD layouts using Altium, KiCad, and more.

Responsibilities include prototyping, generating manufacturing docs, and testing with standard lab tools. You will engage with EMS suppliers for cost and lead-time optimization and assist with certifications and ESG impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a relevant field.
• Experience with hardware development and electronics design.

Responsibilities

• Defining project requirements based on client needs.
• Defining product architecture considering cost, feasibility, timeline and components.
• Prototyping (schematic, layout, wiring design).
• Preparing manufacturing documentation (Gerber files, BOM, assembly drawings).
• Planning, conducting and validating tests with available tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer).
• Supporting certification phases (EMC, radio, electrical safety).
• Consulting with suppliers (EMS): cost optimization, lead times, sourcing.
