Titan Systems is seeking a skilled Electronics/Computer Engineer to join our advanced development team. The successful candidate will design and qualify printed circuit boards (PCBs) for high-performance computers and secure communications systems, supporting mission-critical defense programs. This role involves backplane development, secure design methodologies, integration of embedded computer devices, RF modems/radios, compliance with NSA and TEMPEST standards, and qualification inharsh military environments.
Key Responsibilities
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) & Hardware Design: Design, develop, and optimize printed circuit boards for computers, communication systems, and defense-grade equipment.
Back plane Development: Contribute to the design and integration of high-speed back planes, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Secure Systems: Support NSA encryption system integration and assist in designing hardware for secure communications.
TEMPEST Compliance: Apply knowledge of TEMPEST standards in designing compliant backplanes and communication devices.
Qualification Testing: Conduct environmental and qualification testing for systems operating in harsh and demanding military conditions.
Documentation & Compliance: Generate technical documentation in accordance with DoD and government contracting requirements.
Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, systems engineers, and program managers to meet program milestones and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Active U.S. Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain).
Demonstrated experience in PCB design for computing and communication systems.
Strong knowledge of qualification testing for electronics in rugged military environments (e.g., temperature extremes, vibration, EMI/EMC).
Proficiency with hardware design tools (e.g., Altium, Mentor Graphics, or Cadence).
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with back plane development and design for high-speed systems.
Knowledge of NSA encryption system design and integration.
Familiarity with TEMPEST-compliant back plane design.
Experience with DoD lifecycle processes and defense hardware qualification standards (MIL-STD, DO-160, etc.).
Prior experience in secure communications hardware development.
