• Create BOMs, schematics, and test plans for legacy boards.

Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Qualifications:

• BS/MS Electrical Engineering – 5+ years’ experience in embedded systems engineering (Aerospace or Defense industries)
• Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting embedded boards
• Proficiency with PCB layout tools, schematic capture, and firmware (a plus)
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and component sourcing
• Familiarity with AS9100, IPC standards, or RoHS compliance, VME & cPCI components
• Experience in reverse-engineering electronic systems, PCBs
• Strong communication and project management skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle engineering projects—from scoping to customer sign-off—despite incomplete data and a fragile supply chain
• Rebuild design files from scratch using legacy samples and clever analysis
• Create BOMs, schematics, and test plans for legacy boards that must match original form/fit/function
• Partner with fab/assembly vendors and internal teams to get first articles right, fast
• Ensure our customers' critical systems keep running by providing production-ready documentation and support
