The National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio seeks a Principal Intelligence Analyst to lead electromagnetic warfare analysis using engineering, math, statistics and simulations.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Principal Intelligence Analyst performing electromagnetic warfare scientific and technical intelligence analysis using engineering, mathematics, statistical and intelligence analysis, modeling and simulation and on-the-job learned knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

DUTY 1: The Principal Intelligence Analyst (PIA) will proactively lead the analytic enterprise for the assigned mission area & define the scope of the intelligence Program of Analysis (POA) for their analytical team. DUTY 2: The PIA position is responsible for managing intelligence production tasks for the assigned mission areas, negotiating deadlines and response content with customers, and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.

DUTY 3: The PIA position performs all-source S&TI analysis using intelligence means, engineering methods and computer models/simulations to best estimate the current characteristics, capabilities, limitations and vulnerabilities of foreign airborne EW systems and their ability to impact US military operations as well as predict future design improvements/upgrades. DUTY 4: The PIA provides analytical leadership and professional coaching to their team.

Assists Flight Director in developing and executing a training program for each team member to advance their technical skills, ICD tradecraft, knowledge of foreign threat systems and professional development.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
