Summary:
- Participates in the full PCB design cycle including schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance testing.
- Designs, develops, integrates, and debugs avionics systems and subsystems for aircraft and launcher electrical systems.
- Defines wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle.
- Supports design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements.
- Conducts peer-level and cross-disciplinary design reviews.
- Performs circuit board design, bring-up, and validation from concept to functional prototype.
- Applies knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits and components for system integration.
- Uses common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium for design and validation.
- Works with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, and firmware or software integration.
- Applies familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing for aerospace systems.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 5+ years of relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.
- Demonstrated capability in circuit board design, bring-up, and validation.
- Proven experience designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits and components.
- Competence with common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium.
- Preferred: Experience designing electronics for robotic and aircraft systems.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, serial interfaces, and firmware or software integration.
- Preferred: Familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing, and experience in UAV systems.
