Job summary

Kärcher North America Inc. is seeking an electrical hardware engineer in Aurora, CO, to design, prototype, and validate electrical systems for next-generation products. You will work on wire harnesses, PCB firmware, and LCD displays while ensuring robust performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include writing firmware in C, performing hands-on prototyping, and generating complete documentation. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a strong background in low-power AC/DC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of progressive prototyping and design experience.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters) for hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in low-power AC/DC systems and wire harness design.
  • Experience with Arduino hardware/firmware, CANBUS programming, and LCD integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wire harnesses, PCB firmware, and LCD displays.
  • Write and update functional PCB software using C or similar languages.
  • Perform hands-on component installation, trace repairs, and surface mount soldering on prototype PCBs.
  • Generate full technical documentation, including schematics, point-to-point diagrams, and Gerber/Hex files.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into final products.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $92,000 - $102,000 DOE

  • Design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wire harnesses, PCB firmware, and LCD displays.
  • Write and update functional PCB software using "C" or similar programming languages.
  • Perform hands-on component installation, trace repairs, and surface mount soldering on prototype PCBs.
  • Generate full technical documentation, including schematics, point-to-point diagrams, and Gerber/Hex files.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Software, Sourcing) to integrate electrical systems into final products.
It would be WOW if you would bring this in:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of progressive prototyping and design experience.
  • Proficiency with 2D Ladder Logic, point-to-point schematics, and multi-layer PCB design tools.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters) for complex hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in low-power AC/DC systems, wire harness design, and basic circuit simulation.
  • Plus: Experience with Arduino hardware/firmware, CANBUS programming, and LCD integration
