Job summary

EVS is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the United States (New Jersey area) to lead hardware design for robotic camera systems. The role focuses on PCB design, schematics, and manufacturing documentation, with accountability for board architecture and performance.

You will work with a cross-disciplinary team on analog/digital circuitry, motor drives, and embedded systems, with hands-on prototyping, testing, and fieldwork. Domestic and international travel (~5%) is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in designing and documenting complex hardware systems.

The role’s core duties encompass PCB design, including crafting block diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing documentation, with full accountability for board architecture and design. The engineer will work on various elements such as Analog and Digital circuits, Servo motor control systems, and Power supply units, ensuring consistent customer satisfaction and quality standards.

Working with a team of experienced mechanical, firmware and software development engineers across our products portfolio, this role offers technical challenge and the opportunity to demonstrate your proven leadership ability. With a diverse product portfolio across both legacy and new products, the Electrical Engineer role offers a mix of challenging work in a fast-paced organization.

Job Description

Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in team collaboration and independent planning.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and documenting intricate system designs.
  • Track record of devising technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Hands-on experience with lab prototype testing, debugging, and fieldwork.
  • Familiarity with CE and FCC certifications.
  • Strong time management and project coordination skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Analog, Digital, and Embedded systems design, including motor drives and microcontroller circuits.
  • Understanding of the design, development, testing, and manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Ability to interpret hardware block diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in PCB design software, with Altium being advantageous.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Openness to domestic & international travel (~5%).
Offer

Offered wage : from $ 62 000 annual (+ depending on experience)
