Job summary

Lunar Energy is seeking a motivated electronics design intern to join our team and help design the next generation of boards for our home energy storage systems.

You'll work hands-on with analog and digital circuits, assist bring-up, debugging, and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, and manufacturing teams to move concepts from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed EE degree with strong foundations.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with lab testing tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of digital/analog boards for home energy systems.
• Assist bring-up and debugging of new boards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, validation, and manufacturing teams.
• Translate concepts into testable hardware designs and prototypes.

Engineers at Lunar are hands‑on, comfortable with both simulation and real hardware, and able to carry product development from the concept stage through high-volume production.

On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely…

• Help us create the best possible products by contributing to product level features, design, vision leveraging your experience and creativity
• Design and develop digital electronics, analog electronics, and power supplies for various components of our home energy system.
• Collaborative work with mechanical, firmware, EMC, RF, design validation, thermal design, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing test engineers.
• Performing bring up and debug of new boards

Required Skills:

• Major in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in evidence of exceptional ability.
• Solid understanding of fundamentals of the electrical engineering
• Understanding of the analog and digital circuits designs for sensing, communication, power, etc.
• Bring up experience of Electronics design with mixed analog and digital signals
• Familiarity with the lab testing tools and equipment for EE tests

Desired:

• Experience with Altium or similar ECAD tool
• Direct PCB design experience

Our Compensation Philosophy:

Please note that the hourly range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The hourly range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is $30-$60 USD The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
