Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer in Hampton, VA for a full-time, onsite role focused on developing analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics. You will design PCBs, simulate circuits, and integrate sensors and imaging systems with collaboration across software, FPGA, and mechanical teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 3+ years' hardware design experience, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of electronic hardware design experience.
• Experience with circuit design, PCB development, testing, and integration.
• Familiarity with Altium Designer, SPICE/PSpice, or similar engineering tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits.
• Develop PCB designs using Altium Designer or similar tools.
• Perform circuit simulation using SPICE/PSpice or equivalent software.
• Integrate cameras, sensors, lasers, data storage, and computational systems into designs.
• Prepare schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
