What you will do

As an Electrical Engineer – Sustaining, you'll focus on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. Your work will help ensure long‑term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while supporting the continued success of products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve hardware issues in existing products, including complex root‑cause investigations and corrective actions
• Lead sustaining, component obsolescence, and product redesign projects from problem identification through implementation and release
• Balance multiple concurrent design changes, investigations, and sustaining tasks across several products
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure alignment with applicable regulatory standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, including design reviews, troubleshooting support, and development of engineering best practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

Preferred Skills

• Experience with low‑power analog circuit design
• Knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC converters
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems

Salary Range

SALARY RANGE: $115,000–$135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
