Electronics Coating Operator (Manufacturing)

What You'll Be Doing:

The purpose of the Coating Operator is to:

  1. Mask, assemble, and coat electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems per customer specifications;
  2. Perform cleaning operations according to manufacturing schedules;
  3. Provide and enter information pertinent to the coating process into the production documentation;
  4. Follow company policy and procedures to ensure a safe, effective workplace.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Follow work order, production drawing, specifications, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
  • Prepare and implement masking requirements on all product assemblies and components when applicable.
  • Perform mechanical assemblies on boards per customer requirements.
  • Prepare and spray coat operations on applicable assemblies.
  • Maintain cleaning operations and conduct cleanliness testing as required by PUI procedures.
  • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning maintenance schedules.
  • Perform procedures regarding coating recipes to specification.
  • Conduct chemical inspections regularly for acceptance.
  • Prepare all assemblies to customer and PUI specifications.
  • Rework or repair defective units to conform to customer and PUI specifications.
  • Enter information into production documentation, including records, logs, work orders, and time/quantity data, accurately and completely.
  • Deal effectively with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
