Job summary

Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems in Redmond, WA, is seeking an Assembler and Rework Specialist to join our production team. This role performs precise rework, soldering, wire splicing, and assembly tasks across multiple cells in a fast-paced environment.

You will train others, support NPI projects, and work from schematics with strict adherence to drawings and quality standards. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and a path in a DoD contractor setting with safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 4–6 years of direct experience in essential functions.
• Proficient in inspecting equipment, structures or materials to identify defects.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
• Instructing others and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assembly tasks including wire splicing, crimping, soldering, and component removal.
• Handle more complex assemblies and high power products as required.
• Conduct rework and functional testing on assemblies.
• May train other team members and provide guidance.
• Follow schematics, drawings and oral instructions to build sub-assemblies and components.
• Support NPI and Engineering projects as needed.
• Interact with manufacturing engineering as necessary.
