Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking an electronics assembler to join our production team in the United States. The role involves assembling and disassembling electronic components with precision, performing wire terminations, and integrating harnesses and assemblies under QA controls.

• High school diploma or GED required, up to 1 year of related experience.
• Experience in electronics integration or practical mechanical, electrical, or electronic work is a plus.
• Must perform simple to medium complex electronic and mechanical integration functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under QA checks.
• Team player who can interact respectfully with government personnel and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble electronic components, assemblies and sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Perform wire termination, install wire harnesses, cable assemblies, capacitors and resistors as part of assemblies.
• Assemble using solder, fasteners and adhesives to build electronic assemblies and rework as required.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Maintain tools and equipment and assist with preventive maintenance when needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and other assemblers to ensure accurate production.

Description

• Assembling and disassembling electronic components, assemblies and sub-assemblies using the appropriate tools and machinery
• Assembling and disassembling operations can include wire termination, installation of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, capacitors, resistors or other electronic components
• Assembly using solder, fasteners and adhesives in the build-up of electronic assemblies, ensuring compliance to requirements performing rework as required
• Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Maintaining tools and equipment, as well as potentially assisting with preventative maintenance
• Working with other team members, such as engineers and other assemblers, to ensure efficient and accurate production

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and up to one (1) year of related experience required
• Previous electronics integration or practical mechanical, electrical, or electronic experience a plus
• Candidate must be able to perform simple to medium complex electronic and mechanical integration functions
• Candidate must have high energy level, be flexible, able to handle pressure situations, and changing deadlines
• Strong attention to detail is required as work products continually undergo stringent Quality Assurance (QA) checks
• Candidate must be a team player, displaying patience as well as being tactful when associating with all levels of contractor and government personnel
