Job summary

NovaTech, LLC in Lenexa, KS, is seeking an Electronics Assembler to build the "brains" of remote monitoring and control systems for substations and the electrical grid. You will read BOMs, assemble parts to specs, use basic hand tools, solder, and operate a laptop, contributing to a high-availability product line.

In this first-shift role, you’ll work in a relaxed environment with a 40-hour week and occasional overtime, while demonstrating self-motivation, reliability, and a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanically inclined.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Strong organizational skills.

Job description

Our Electronics Assembler will be responsible for assembling the "brains" behind our remote monitoring and control systems used within substations and the electrical grid by electrical utilities. We expect our Electronic Assemblers to be self-starters capable of building several products daily within a technological and rewarding environment.

Daily Responsibilities

• Read and understand the bill of materials and standard operating procedures.
• Fit and assemble electrical and mechanical parts to specifications.
• Use basic hand tools, soldering equipment and laptop.
• Install identification tags and use handheld bar scanner for inventory control.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in work and common areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• First shift; 7-3:30 Monday-Friday
• 40-hour work week with overtime occasionally
• Relaxed, casual work environment (t-shirts, jeans and headphones are the standard)

Minimum Qualifications
