Job summary

Leidos Defense Open Air Sensors Division seeks an Electronic Warfare Integrator to drive the technical direction and execution of a large U.S. Air Force EW and radar program in Huntsville, AL. Focused on software/hardware integration, system test and evaluation, and debugging across the lifecycle.

The role requires cross-disciplinary integration, leadership of software efforts, and experience with real-time, high-performance systems, with the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2–6 years.
  • Experience testing or integrating systems across multiple technical domains.
  • Experience with containerized Linux software and deploying software to air-gapped systems.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate across engineering disciplines for EW systems including RF sensing and countermeasures.
  • Provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle.
  • Operate and execute testing of real-time, high-performance software for EW and radar platforms.
  • Physically deploy radar systems, boot test software, and report on experiment results.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices including DevSecOps, automated testing, and configuration management.

Leidos Defense Open Air Sensors Division is seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare Integrator to drive the technical direction and execution of a large, multi-phase U.S. Air Force EW and radar program. This role spans concurrent development, integration, test, production, and sustainment activities. This specific role is focused on executing software and hardware integration together, system test and evaluation, and system level debugging. With locations across the United States supporting defense, space, cyber, and commercial programs, the Leidos Defense Systems Sector provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions. Primary Responsibilities
  • Integrate across multiple engineering disciplines covering the architecture, design, and development of advanced electronic warfare systems, including RF sensing, signal processing, and countermeasure capabilities
  • Provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle, ensuring alignment with mission requirements, performance constraints, and system integration needs
  • Specifically operate and execute critical testing of real-time, high-performance software supporting EW and radar platforms, including embedded and distributed systems.
  • Physically deploy radar systems, boot test software, execute open air experiments, report on the efficacy of those experiments, and drive technical recommendations and solutions for how to improve the systems
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, includingDevSecOps, automated testing,andconfiguration management
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4-8years of relevant experience or Master’swith2-6years.
  • Experience testing or integrating systems across multiple technical domains
  • Experience with operating containerized Linux software and deploying software to air-gapped systems
  • Problem solving mindset that covers multiple technical domains with a focus on delivering products
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizenpossess and maintain an active Secret clearance or must be able to obtain a Secret and Top Secret security clearanceeligible
  • Residein or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong background in EW concepts, such as electronic attack, electronic protection, and electronic support
  • Experience with system engineering, verification processes, test planning, and execution
  • Experience operating systems at government test ranges
  • Demonstrated experience developing electronic warfare, RF systems, or radar software in a team-based environment
  • Deep expertisein electronic warfare systems andarchitectures
  • Solid foundation in modern software engineering practices, including CI/CDand test-driven development
  • Proficiencyin C++ and object-oriented design, with experience in performance-critical applications
  • Experience with GPU acceleration (CUDA), MATLAB, or advanced algorithm development
  • Familiarity with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog) and hardware/software integration
  • Experience leading teams and building high-performance engineering organizations
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD EW programs
  • Active Secret orTop Secretsecurity clearance

Pay Range

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
