Job summary

CACI International Inc is hiring a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the Rochester, NY hardware group spanning Power Supply, Digital, RF, and Sustainment.

You will hire, mentor, and develop engineers, set technical priorities, and partner with Mechanical, Systems Engineering, and Product Management to keep hardware efforts on track. Hidden opportunities include proposal support and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years hardware engineering experience, including leadership.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience with direct reports.
• Experience in power supply, digital hardware, RF or communications hardware, or sustaining engineering.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers and technicians.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent programs.
• Willingness to obtain a Secret clearance as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary hardware engineering group across Power Supply, Digital, RF, and General Sustainment.
• Hire, mentor, and develop hardware engineers and technicians.
• Set priorities and direction for hardware activities with stakeholders in Mechanical, Hardware, Systems Engineering, and Product Management.
• Oversee sustaining engineering, obsolescence management, ECOs, and post-production support.
• Manage staffing and resource allocation across programs and product lines.
• Coordinate with Project/Program Management and Operations to align schedules and budgets.
• Drive hardware design standards, review processes, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with supply chain on components, vendors, and long-lead planning.
• Support proposals with hardware write-ups and BoEs.
• Serve as escalation point for complex hardware issues.
• Promote safety, quality, and testing culture.
