Your Impact

The Derivs Automation team develops algorithms, smart order routers, order management systems, and internalization strategies for US Listed Options trading. Responsibilities include gathering client requirements, designing and developing trading strategies and platforms, and monitoring trading performance. The team collaborates with clients, sales, trading, compliance, legal, and other engineering teams, playing a vital role in driving our Electronic Options Trading business.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, build, and maintain high-performance, adaptive options trading strategies for internal and external clients.
  2. Monitor trading performance daily and customize algorithms based on client needs.
  3. Maintain a deep understanding of US options market structure, regulations, and exchange services, implementing changes as needed.
  4. Communicate with traders, sales, clients, and compliance officers regarding new features and existing functionalities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or C++.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing algorithms and smart order routers for US options trading.
  • Experience in data-driven trading strategy analysis and optimization.
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration ability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing algorithms and smart order routers for agency trading.
  • Experience with back-testing trading strategies.
  • Experience developing low-latency trading strategies.
  • Experience supporting clients directly.
Salary Range

The expected base salary range for this position in New York, NY, is $150,000 to $300,000, plus potential discretionary bonuses for active employees at fiscal year-end.
