Job Description:
- The Electronic Technician Trainee is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands.
- The Electronic Technician Trainee improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratiof the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.
- Maintain assigned equipment according tthe pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence tthe Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.
- Adhere ttransactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems trecord materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time tmaintain.
- Comply with TLM Product Line standards.
- Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB timprove asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts timprove asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due tmaintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.
- Support continuous improvement efforts timprove the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
- Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.
- Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
- Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment (e.g., rotary control units)
- Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers) ttroubleshoot issues
- Assemble and build components such as bearing packs
- Conduct testing (including flow loop testing) and basic programming tasks
- Support failure investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work within assigned workstation areas and rotate tasks periodically
- Maintain production targets and support equipment turnaround efficiency
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum: 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent education (2-year technical degree in electronics technology) / military maintenance background
- Ability tuse: multimeters, basic hand tools, oscilloscopes and measuring devices
- Strong computer skills and ability tnavigate business systems
- Basic understanding of electronics and some mechanical aptitude
Preferred:
- Experience with rotary steerable or similar oilfield equipment (for higher pay range)
- Soldering experience (IScertifications a plus but not required)
Work Environment
- Industrial shop/maintenance base environment (exposure toil, grease, mud, and field-returned equipment)
- Not a lab or clean room
- Requires wearing coveralls and appropriate PPE
