Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair CCTV, access control, and related electronic systems.
  • Read installation drawings and blueprints; read blueprints.
  • Work in high areas using ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Use hand and power tools for new and existing installations.
  • Document and label wiring clearly and accurately.

Summary of Job Description:

Incumbent in this position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all CCTV, access control and other related electronic systems.

  • Thorough understanding of the principles of “Electronic Theory”
  • Ability to use manual and/or power tools related to installation in new construction and/or old construction in a low-voltage environment
  • Ability to read and follow installation drawings and read blueprints
  • Ability to work in high areas using both ladders and aerial lifts
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful situations by analyzing, prioritizing, and using sound judgment to resolve issues
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an electronic technician
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
